Welcome to The Fallon, an 8 room boutique getaway in the heart of historic Edgartown. The Fallon located above the renowned l’etoile restaurant, is housed in a magnificent Victorian inspired home built in 1892 by Captain Charles W. Fisher. Captain Fisher was not a merchant captain but rather a whaling Captain whose lore has made both him and the island famous. He is believed to have captured the largest sperm whale on record aboard his vessel Alaska in 1884. The following year Captain Fisher married Parnell Pease. The Pease family and their contributions to Edgartown date back to the early to mid 1600s.

Step outside our front door and you are on Water Street, one of Edgartown’s most sought after addresses. Specialty shops, galleries and gourmet restaurants line the street. The famous Edgartown Harbor is one block away. A short stroll brings you to Lighthouse Beach. This is one of five historic lighthouses on the Vineyard. Swim in the beautiful waters overlooking Chappaquiddick or simply relax with a good book and picnic lunch.

Sip on a signature “Startini” from l’etoile as you begin to adjust to “island time.” Our Adirondack chairs give you the best seats in town for one of Edgartown’s favorite pastimes; people watching, where the rich and famous mingle with the locals, enjoying all that is truly Vineyard.
